Item description from seller

Second printing from number line. Story of Sidney Schanberg, Cambodian bureau chief of the New York Times, and his efforts to aid the translator who saved his life when the Khmer Rouge came to power in the mid-1970s. Released in conjunction with the critically praised Roland Joffe/John Malkovich film. Rubbing of spine, light chipping and indentations on front cover. Interior pages are white and bright, but there's a rumpled quality to the trade paperback. Good to very good condition. See photos.

Store description

These volumes represent the cream of my aunt's voluminous collection, which includes signed first editions from a friend's defunct Lincoln City store, antiquarian tomes a Reed professor bequeathed decades ago, and the art & design section of downtown Portland's long-lamented NorWester Bookshop. Given spatial constraints, I've little choice but to liquidate the inventory she spent a lifetime accumulating, but my dilemma opens opportunities for the right consumer. Shop freely and enjoy in her memory!…
