Book lis identical to the first printing, just substituting 18th printing for First printing on copyright page. This book is fine. Book appears unread. Pages lay tight and undisturbed; seemingly unread. Both pages and panels/binding are clean and bright. DJ flap has the McGinley quote on the inside flap in green. Rear DJ panel begins with The unique history of the Pulitzer Prize Novel. No photo on rear. DJ shows rubbing at corners and along foot and crown of DJ backstrip. $3.95 price has been clipped from front flap. The Pulitzer Prize Novel in 1961 in a white circle is an overlap printing on front cover of DJ. No BOMC stamp on rear cover. The first printing of this title was only 5,000 copies so these early printings remain highly collectible. Fine/VG+.
