For 125 years the Kentucky Derby has been everyone's race- from the dapper men and beautiful women, all in hats and sipping on frosty mint juleps, to the laid-back infield crowd who picnic on carry-out fried chicken and toss around Frisbees. This book celebrates the rich tradition of Kentucky horse farms; the festive, fun-filled days leading up to the race itself; the legends and the heroes; the memorable moments and the thrilling head-to-head rivalries that have punctuated 125 years of the Kentucky Derby.
