Three Volume Set, First Editions/First Printings. Hardcover octavos with dustjackets. Good/Good.

All volumes have burgundy cloth boards with gold-stamped text to front panel and spine. Red dustjackets with B&W photo portraits of authors and white text. White and blue "Imported by Imported Publications, Inc." sticker to lower back panels. Jackets are chipped and show signs of wear but are still bright red. Interiors have some foxing. No information on flaps. Jackets come in a protective mylar wrap. Boards have rubbing throughout. Dark topstain. Blank endpapers. Blue, yellow, and red sticker on ffeps. Textblocks all have mild toning. Bound-in red woven ribbon bookmarks.

Volume 1:
Dustjacket has large chip missing from tail of spine. Shelfwear and loss of color due to all edges, corners, and top of spine. Small closed tear to lower front panel. Very little rubbing to fore edges. Board corners rounded, not bumped. Board dent on back panel near head of spine. Epigraph page has a red postage stamp affixed. Contains two B&W photo frontispieces, one of Marx and one of Engels, same as on dustjackets. 596pp.

Volume 2:
Dustjacket has one small open tear to lower edge and 1 inch closed tear with wrinkling to upper edge of front panel. Chipping and loss of color to head and tail of spine. Shelfwear and rubbing along all edges and corners resulting in loss of color. Fold along upper corner of rear flap. Lower front corner bumped, back lower mildly bumped. 503pp.

Volume 3:
Large 1.25 inch chip missing from front panel of dustjacket. Fold, closed tear, and smaller chips in the same are. Head and tail of spine chipping, mild shelfwear along edges. Rubbing, resulting in loss of color to fore edges and all corners. Two closed tears with folds to lower back panel. Both lower corners of boards are bumped. Remaining corners are rounded in. Light bump to lower back board's bottom edge. Fore ege of textblock has dark lines. 579pp.
