The new material consists of the private notebooks of Sir Arthur Evans, together with a handlist of the tablets and the daybooks of his assistant, Mr. Duncan Mackenzie. Each of the authors sets out this material independently and discusses it in the light of the archaeology of the site and other already known information, Professor Palmer concluding that the tablets belong to the end of the so-called Reoccupation Period, Mr. Boardman that Evans was right in dating them some 250 years earlier. The reader is invited to form his own conclusions on the matters under discussion, in the light of the fullest possible statement of the evidence. The book has a common index to the two sections.' (Quote from inside front of jacket blurb) ***For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging: any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only: we will reduce the P & P charge where appropriate - please contact us for postal rates for heavier books and sets etc.…
