First impression of the first paperback edition. Front and rear wrapper illustration by S. B. Jones. ***Very good in colour-illustrated wrappers very slightly rubbed at edges. No tears. Spine tight. No reading crease to spine. Pages very slightly browned. No inscriptions. No fading. Wrappers bright. ***176mm x 106mm. 160 pages. ***'The night that Dr. Julius Conrad, a well known lady's man, was murdered, a woman in a hooded raincoat was seen near his flat. The police think she did it; Hank Sandford does not. His theory, supported by notes and papers left behind, is that the doctor was the victim of a mysterious plot whose roots lay in the future!'
