William Herrick is the author of ten novels, including the award-winning ¡Hermanos!, based on his experiences in the Spanish Civil War. His most recent novels areThat’s Life and Bradovich, and he has written reviews for the New York Times Book Review and theNew Leader. Born in 1915 to parents from Belarus, he is a member of American PEN and lives in New York state.
