First edition. 16 engraved plates, including frontis. Maps etc. 4to. Contemporary full diced calf, blind & gilt-tooled borders, intricately gilt in compartments, bands darkened, bright leather label, marbled endpapers and edges of text block, shelf-worn with a couple of small marks, front board perhaps bowing just a fraction, usual offset from plates and some marginal foxing, but overall a clean and attractive example, all plates present and correct. Both were Cambridge academics who made an antiquarian tour of the upper Egypt region. vi, 333pp. Extra postage will be needed, especially if going abroad. Seller Inventory # 001225
