Add to basketA first edition of this interesting historical account of Penrith, Cumbria. A lovely copy of J. E. Horsley's work on Penrith in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Situated just three miles from the Lake District National Park, Penrith is a lovely market town in Cumbria. In this work, Horsley passes on his father's stories of the area, describes the buildings and streets of Penrith as they were over fifty years ago, and relates the interesting events that occurred there in the latter half of the nineteenth century. In the publisher's original red cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with just some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine. The cloth has faded to the spine. Internally, firmly bound, with bright and clean pages throughout. Very Good Indeed.
