238 pages ; 21 cm. ; brick-red cloth with gilt lettering. This earthily humorous American novel is built around the imposing six-foot figure of a bumptious, fractious, generally cantankerous old-time religious leader in a Texas village .The book is a real creation: warm, folksy, as American as a flapjack. It is a first novel by a Texan woman whose career as daughter, wife and mother is as colorful and astonishing as the Lone Star State itself.

Terms of sale
This is no Half Price Books nor Strand Bookstore, rather one person selling books as a side hustle and a passion. When you deal with me, you deal with me, not an anonymous clerk. I presume sales to be final except in case of substantial condition discrepancy or lost and strayed shipments, and frown upon buyer's remorse.
