First edition, pp150 and plans, b&w illustrations, lines plan of the ship, plan view at top of poop deck beams and poop hold beams. A biography and detailed description of the wooden merchant sailing ship, Jhelum, built in Liverpool in 1849, active in the South American trade, abandoned as a distressed hulk in the Falkland Islands in 1870, and partially stabilized and documented by Stammers, Kearon, and the rest of a team from the Merseyside Maritime Museum.
