Folio, 210pp., illustrated. A very good copy in the publisher's grey cloth, gently bumped at the corners. In a very good dust jacket with some corner wear, and the original clear outer dust jacket, which has a large piece missing from the front panel, else complete. This is the true first edition, whcih includes two bound-in lithographs executed by Chagall. This French issue, textually identical to the New York issue, appears to be differentiated by the grey cloth binding and the "Andre Sauret" imprint on the jacket spine. It seems to be significantly scarcer in commerce than the American issue. A stunningly beautiful book, one of Chagall's great achievements. Seller Inventory # 9438
