“Jack and Jaquelyn” (J&J) is an intimate relationship memoir about a mature couple told in a story form. The narrative follows Jack and Jaquelyn during the decade of their seventies, through an initiatory near-death experience into a deepening exploration of intimacy as a path of awakening. To round out the story there are flashbacks to earlier adventures of struggle and accomplishment. The book describes the possibilities of mature intimate love, the ultimate inseparability of sexuality and spirituality, the connection between sexuality and healing, and ways to embrace the mystery of death through sexual intimacy. Other themes that thread their way through the stories include: • Leaving the old patriarchal paradigm behind to evolve a new consciousness of love in which intimate relationship is a path of awakening to the divine • Creating a mythology of relationship that supports the deepening of sexual intimacy • The empowering of the divine feminine in our culture and the magic of “woman flesh” • How love and sexuality are evolving now---tangibly • How men become truly authentic, competent lovers • How nature affects the intimacy between lovers The book is novelistic in style and perhaps best characterized as a lyrical cinematic description of the explicit erotic adventures of a couple in their golden years that sees intimacy as an inseparable part of the current evolutionary awakening. One of the book’s deepest intentions is to support a growing culture in which the sharing of relationship stories becomes a primary practice for both couples and singles exploring the path of intimacy. The authors have come to believe that evolution is to be a co-created phenomenon among humans and the natural forces of life. It follows that the context for this process has to be something shared by all peoples more or less independently of their cultural, racial, religious and economic backgrounds. It would seem that intimate relationships---with nature and between peoples---are the most universal candidates to provide the fertile ground for such an evolutionary awakening. Touching the divine in this way is an experience that eventually can be shared in groups that develop appropriate practices (that is already happening) and eventually expand to the interactions among groups and communities (just beginning to happen). In this way a new vision of intimacy can be seeded in the mainstream culture. About the Author

Originally trained as a mathematician (BA, MA and PhD from Yale, Harvard and University of Southern California, respectively) Jack Zimmerman is a writer, relationship counselor, elder in the expanding community of council practitioners and an intrepid practitioner of transformational intimacy. He was the President of the Ojai Foundation from 1991-2007 and retired as Board Co-Chair in January of 2008 after many years of serving in that capacity. In 2000 in Co-Founded the Ojai Foundation’s Center for Council Training in order to more effectively bring council into the mainstream in the US, Israel and more recently, Africa. Jaquelyn McCandless, (BS, University of Chicago; MS and MD, University of Illinois) is a board-certified psychiatrist, creative aging specialist, and an irreverent explorer of sexual alchemy. When her granddaughter, Chelsey, was diagnosed with autism in 1996, Jaquelyn embraced medicine in a new way and over the years became a world-renowned specialist in the biomedical treatment of autism. Her widely read book on the subject has been translated into several languages. For many years she was a member of the Defeat Autism Now! (DAN!) Leadership Council and a regular contributor to DAN and other scientific meetings. For almost forty years Jack and Jaquelyn have been offering a variety of relationship workshops and trainings in the US and abroad---all the while loving and inspiring each other as they explore the inseparability of sexuality and spirituality. They have traveled to Israel several times since 2005 to lead trainings for couples and council practitioners, and to support the growing use of council in that country. Jaquelyn has championed the use of Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) in the treatment of autism and other auto-immune illnesses and, with Jack, has been actively involved in a medical research project in Mali that involved the use of LDN to help HIV positive individuals from developing AIDS symptoms. We make every effort to describe each book or print accurately. However, we accept that an item might not prove to be as you expected it, or has been damaged in transport. We therefore accept returns within 14 days of receipt of the item, upon prior notification. We will provide a full refund upon receipt of the returned item by us.

Statutory right to withdraw

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.

Overseas postage will be sent by airmail if you select priority and surface if you select standard postage. Surface mail to the United States or Canada can take up to six weeks, and up to twelve weeks to Australia and New Zealand.
