Hardback. Sensational 'new' evidence of 8 Ripper murders in the USA revealed for the first time. Revised, updated and includes new evidence for the 10th anniversary of the Diary's discovery. When the diaries of James Maybrick, a Liverpool trader, were unearthed 10 years ago, the last piece in a puzzle over a century old was in place. The event made front page headlines, international debate and the strongest evidence yet as to the true identity of the Ripper. This book is a journey back to the scene and execution of the most infamous murders in history which has all the pace and drama of a thriller. Since its publication, the book has sparked off a flurry of interest with many other would-be historians trying to make their mark. However, no case has been so convincingly expounded as Shirley Harrison's and it remains a core text on the subject. Now, for the book's 10th anniversary, Shirley reveals startling new evidence that suggests James Maybrick may have been in Texas, America at the time of 8 murders that contemporary reports likened to the Ripper murders. With Postscript by David Canter. Illus. + A Facsimile of the Diary of Jack the Ripper and A Transcript of the Diary of Jack the Ripper. 426pp. lge. 8vo. h/back. F. in F. dw. A fairly heavy book which may require additional postage if shipped overseas.…
