First edition hardback, 1940, with no jacket. Ex. Shropshire County Library book, only a couple of the usual stamps and markings, no pages removed. In overall good used condition with minor signs of age, handling and storage - blue buckram boards a little rubbed and spine quite faded. Internally clean. Binding overall tight; no annotations or inscriptions; toning to page-ends but text and maps bright and clear throughout. Retains both fold-out maps to rear pocket. Photograph available.
