264 pages + 93 mounted colour plates, 36 monochrome, 4 transparent colour plates and 18 diagrams. red cloth with sewn headbands all in immaculate condition. wrapper has a laminated finish (as usual at this period) and it has curled away slightly at top edge (would flatten back). Large quarto. 1957 Vg to near fine. *This shows work in glass by artisans in Italy through history, through the Renaissance with colours lost over the years. We are a small, single-owner business. We have been operating on and off since 1977 and our stock is varied, leaning towards antiquarian and 19th century with the addition of original aquatint and lithographic, or woodcut engravings. Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
