The book appears to have been rebound, based upon a small sticker on the back paste-down that reads-"Hechman Bindery-Bound to Please N. Manchester, Indiana June '74". Bound in green buckram title and author in gilt on the spine. Top edges gilt. The fore-edges and bottom edges of the first 24 pages have been expertly repaired and are now smooth. There are notations and marginalia in pencil throughout the book, and the text and illustrations are generally clean and unmarked. The binding is firm. Includes a list of "purely Irish names found on the rolls of Bunker Hill as given in the Massachusetts archives". Illustrated with eight portraits onin black and white on glossy paper. with tissue guards intact. The frontis is an illustration in color and gilt depicting the Irish and American flags. Elegant and loving inscription to a son from his mother dated "May '8 Fair Day of.Co. Tipperary- Ireland " on the page after the title page.
