Very good condition. Minor wear to book corners and edges. Pages have started to sun. Australia in the 1960s. A young boy, John, is trapped inside the perverted world of a religious orphanage. Subjected to years of sexual and physical abuse, John finds the strength to outwit his abusers and help his mates along the way. He later finds himself at the mercy of more predators, this time on the streets of Sydney. This is the powerful story of how John survived in the face of extraordinary odds, and how he eventually found his family of 30 brothers and sisters. This is the story of one man's journey to triumph over a devastating past. At times deeply moving, at other times funny; this could be the most inspiring story you will ever read. (Trove).
