She was the cousin of fellow author Katherine Mansfield, and had a three long affair with H. G. Wells. Through her first marriage she was a Countess, and later married Frank Russell, who was the elder brother of the Nobel prize winning Bertrand Russell.Two pages of adverts to the rear. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with some marks and discolouration to the front board and spine.
