A clear comprehensive and unbiased introduction to International Political Economy written by an economist and a political scientist. The text takes an interdisciplinary approach as it examines international economic global issues.
“Balaam and Dillman have created the most comprehensive and engaging IPE text available. They creatively apply mainstream and critical perspectives to a variety of global problems like hunger and global warming to show students how the relationships and conflicts between states and markets affect their everyday lives.”–Houman Sadri, University of Central Florida
“Introduction to International Political Economy just keeps getting better and better, especially now with its extensive commentary on the causes and implications of the recent global economic crisis. This is quite simply the best IPE textbook around.”―Benjamin Jerry Cohen, University of California-Santa Barbara
