Dark green buckram; gilt lettering. xiv + 284 pp. with bw images throughout. A classic on the subject, written by Frank Parsons, for whom the Parsons School of Design is named (formerly the New York School of Fine and Applied Art). With excellent examples of stylish vs. undesirable decoration principles. Good, clean, tight text; some bw plates have smudging and age toning to margins. Art school ex-lib. copy with usual marks.
