Clean unmarked second printing of the first edition in clean unclipped dust jacket. Bright yellow and orange cloth boards with gold lettering on cover and spine. No bumping, fading or wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Pages are clean and unmarked, clean red endpapers, red top-stained upper page edges. Dust jacket is unclipped (5.95 on front inside flap), no chips, one 1" closed edge tear; nice full panel photo of author on rear. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover. A terrific international spy story featuring Charles Latimer, whom fans will recognize as the hero of an early Ambler classic.
