About the Author:

Dr. Jack Ogden is the CEO of the Gemmological Association and Gem Testing Laboratory of Great Britain. He is a specialist in the historical development of jewellery and the author of, and contributor to, several books and numerous articles on jewelry history. He has lectured on the subject internationally and in 1977 founded the Society of Jewellery Historians to bring together jewelry experts and aficionados world-wide.
