Uncommon promotional publication published by Pratt & Whitney showcasing the advances in the powerhouse R-2800 aircraft engine, utitlized extensively in the fastest WWII fighter aircraft, and now retooled for civilian application. Pictorial wraps with saddle stapled binding. Narrative history of the development and Imrpovements in the powerplant profusely illustrated with half-tone b&w photos of the rotary engine through its evolution. Mild toning and superficial shelf soiling to covers. Light rust evidence to binding staples at center fold. Uncommon with only a few copies recorded in institutional holdings searched by Worldcat. VG.
