Item description from seller

434 pp., index, bibliography, foot notes, illustrations, map, appendices. A near fine tight, strong hinged, sharp cornered copy with a previous owner's name on the ffep. In a very good unclipped dust jacket with fading to its spine as photographed. With horses stolen from the Spanish frontier settlements the American Indian was transformed and revitalized. This excellent book tells the story.
