First edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's original black cloth-affect boards with spine lettered in gilt. A few tiny bumps to edges, still Fine, in a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with sticker shadows over the printed price and said stickers stuck to verso of front flap; light rubbing, light shelf wear and a small indentation to front panel. A bright and sharp copy. The author's last novel. Scarce in the British first edition and not published in America until three years later. Seller Inventory # 140942745
