8vo. cloth. xx, 282 pages with 37 illustrations and charts. First edition. This copy has Joseph Blumenthal's signature, which he dated 1926, on the front pastedown. Lacking the dust jacket. Front hinge cracked. Minor wear to hinges, spine ends, and corners, else a very good copy. A very important book in the study of the history of printing. Joseph Blumenthal was the proprietor of The Spiral Press in New York.
