V.I. Lenin ~ 1914 ~ Sharp~eyed observers of this century's political struggles will greet this first English edition of Rosa Luxemburg's doetoral thesis, The Industrial Development of Poland, as a refreshing and long~overdue break from the hash that has long been served up as political science. Luxemburg's thesis is a major polemic against the "theory of stages" and the national "right to self~determination" whose advocates were running rampant through the international social~democracy.
