Item description from seller

219 pages, 16 color and 182 b/w photographs, 17 maps. Cloth cover. Mint condition. The blockbuster 1941 Museum of Modern Art Indian art exhibition is widely credited with having opened the eyes of much of the "art" public to the incredible aesthetic value of the objects exhibited. Covering Indian art masterworks from all areas of the U.S., in addition to parts of Canada and Alaska, the exhibition--held more than 75 ago--is regarded as being perhaps the most significant exhibition of this material to have been held in the U.S.
