Set of two volumes, Vol I, Parts I, II, & III published 1882, 405 pp. Vol II, Parts IV, V, & VI published 1883, 417 pp plus 32 pp of adverts and index. A 'newly' married set, volume I in darker cloth with surface soil, vol II shows newer plain yellow endpapers rather than the lovely vintage illustrations and adverts present in vol I. Red cloth with bright gilt titles and fox mask/whip on frt boards, tips bumped and rubbed. Vol II has wear along front & rear gutter edges with small splits in the cloth. Internally both vols are tight and bright w/occasional foxing. Vol I w/former owner's name and 1897 date on copyright page, volume II with initials and 1892 date on title page. Front hinge paper cracked at foot Vol I, boards slightly bowed. A rare & exhaustive compendium of every British Hunt detailing the lays of their territory, details of their packs, hound breeding, days out hunting, staff and details of the best coverts and escapades afield.
