Tan buckram spine with paste-on title labels and brown simulated leather boards with title and author's facsimile signature; 8vo; 245pp; illustrated with pictorial title-page, decorative chapter initials, b/w photos and drawings. With chapters on hunting with Ishi; making the bow; fletching; how to shoot the bow; plus individual chapters devoted to hunting deer, bear, mountain lion and smaller game. This copy in good condition with light cover wear, spine labels a tad faded, corners square; former owner's name inked to front pastedown o/w internally quite clean. Reprinted many times, but quite uncommon in the 1st edition.
