Illustrated throughout by photographs which were, for the most part, the author's own. ; B&W Photographs; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 176 pages; The second Lord Tweedsmuir, oldest son of the author, John Buchan, spent a number of years in Canada. He was also John Buchan but better known as Johnnie. He spent 1938-1939 as a fur trader for the Hudson's Bay Company in the far north at Cape Dorset on Baffin Island. This is his diary of that time. It was from this diary that his father took the background information for his last book 'Sick Heart River', published posthumously in 1941.
