(London: Hodder & Stoughton nd [1926]). First UK Edition. Publisher's blue boards with black lettering to the spine and front board with author's initials to the bottom right-hand corner of the front board. Boards exceptionally bright and clean. Offsetting to both sets of end-papers. Overall a lovely near fine copy. In the VERY RARE first issue dustwrapper priced 7/6 net to the spine (as called for). Unusually the VG+ dustwrapper is slightly too big for the book by a few millimetres resulting in fraying/creasing/minor loss to the top-edge. Uncommon in the correct first issue dustwrapper. Romance. Christine Grant Millar Orr (1899 -1963) was a Scottish novelist, playwright, poet, actor, theatre director and broadcaster and was one of the "uninvited eight" instrumental in the founding of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Photographs/scans available upon request. Seller Inventory # 355490723125
