"We all want to make the most of our home, the place where we eat, sleep, relax, work, and have fun. Decorating your living space so that it fulfills all these roles is creative and rewarding - but the choices involved can become overwhelming. The Home Zone is here to help. Top interiors writers, and hundreds of inspirational photographs of real homes, will guide you through every home design decision, large or small. The book begins with Inspirational Interiors, exploring five popular styles so that you can decide which look you want to create. There are the soothing neutrals and plain lines of Simple & Natural; the eclectic mix of modern style with junk shop finds on Old & New; or the relaxed comfort of Country & Rustic. For a dash of sophistication there are the sharp lines and cool colors of Sleek & Modern, or the grown-up chic of Contemporary Elegance. Next, Room by Room shows you a new view of every room in the home, including work spaces, children's rooms, and even halls and staircases. The Home Zone's experts discuss planning, dividing space, furniture, and storage, plus the issues specific to each area, from choosing the right bathroom faucet to picking a kitchen layout that works. Essential Elements looks at decorating fundamentals: Working with Color, Lighting, Flooring, Storage & Display, Window Treatments, and Soft Furnishings. Finally, there is an invaluable address book of home design shops and suppliers. With expert advice, glorious photography, and a wealth of innovative ideas, The Home Zone will help you realize the exciting potential of the place you call home." - from the inner front jacket flap.…

Store description
Vero Beach Books is an antiquarian bookseller with a constantly updated inventory of rare out-of-print books, signed books, children's books, plus a large inventory of ephemeral items such as major U.S. city newspapers going back 100 years and more, golden and silver age fine condition comic books (soon to be added), and many other ephemeral items as well as much more recent popular volumes. We have been in business for 25 years, originally known as Emerson Books (named after one of our owner's favorite authors, to wit, Ralph Waldo Emerson) located back then in Westport, Connecticut. That said, we are here to serve you, to offer you fine quality items that are conservatively described so that you will always be pleasantly surprised and delighted with your purchase. Twenty-five years in the bookselling business has borne out our stellar service oriented reputation; the only difference is that now we are located in the almost always sunny and warm climate of Vero Beach, Florida. Again, we are here to serve you and, as was the case when we were previously known on ABEBooks.com as Emerson Books, we will continue to offer our very popular 100% free search service for those hard to find books rare and out of print books. Oftentimes we are also able to obtain these rare finds at very good discounts to our customers' so it is always worth contacting us in such cases!
