(London: Lutterworth Press 1945). First UK Edition. Publisher's ochre-coloured boards with Enid Blyton's signature blocked in purple to the bottom right-hand corner of the front board. Purple lettering to the spine. Boards really bright and clean. A Christmas gift inscription in ink to the front free end-paper. Boards slightly splayed. A touch of foxing to the page block edges. Overall still VG indeed. The dustwrapper is also VG indeed and is priced 5s. net to the inside flap (as called for). The dustwrapper has a touch of loss at the head and tail of the spine and and several totally unnecessary scotch tape repairs to the verso. The dustwrapper is pretty much complete. Red lettering to the spine still clearly visible. A pretty nice copy. Quite uncommon in dustwrapper in our experience. Photographs/scans available upon request. Seller Inventory # 355490722844
