1927 stated but could be a later printing, nice printing with ornamental chapter headings and orange chapter numbers, excellent history of the valley know as San Jose by the Spanish, pasture for the Missions, a Mexican owned Ranchero and finally owned by the shrewd Yankee J.J. Warner. Preface by Herbert E. Bolton. Book is 10.75 inches in height by 8 inches in width, 219 pages including index, some black and white illustrations. Book is FINE, never read condition ultra clean publishers' maroon smooth cloth with bright gilt title to spine, tight and square with sharp corners, No previous owner bookplate or writing, Jacket is at least Very Good, some edge wear and light tears, a 3 inch crumple and tear on the bottom of rear panel, lays flat in a new mylar is near Fine. A Superior Edition at a bargain price. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Seller Inventory # 002799
