Vol. 1 only, supplement is missing. Sources and Studies for the History of the Americas: Vol. VII. Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine. Front board is slightly warped; minor rubbing to edges with cloth just starting to fray at corners and head of spine; light scuffing. Tight binding and clean interior. Includes a black-and-white portrait of Bandelier as frontispiece. In 1887, archaeologist Adolph F. Bandelier gifted Pope Leo XIII an illustrated history of the Southwest. The manuscript was accompanied by four huge albums of original sketches and a colossal atlas. This volume offers a biographical sketch of Bandelier and a catalog of those sketches, photographs, blueprints, and maps. ; 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall; 233 pp.
