Item description from seller

North Hollywood, CA: Beinfeld Publishing Company, Inc, 1977. HARDCOVER edition. PLEASE NOTE: This is the 1977 First Edition. It is not one of the numerous reprints that are often listed as with the 1977 copyright year, but in reality are later reprints such as the Tenth Anniversary Edition. We have only this one copy, but it is available now and ready to ship TODAY from Henderson, Nevada. Very Fine condition in a bright and shiny but only fair dust jacket. The jacket is wavy and rubbed with a damp stain that is only evident when looking at the jacket's blank side. The book itself is Very Fine with sharp corners. Square and tight. Pages are crisp, clean and unmarked -- apparently seldom, if ever read. Profusely illustrated with diagrams and b/w photos. Bound in the original silver-stamped blue boards. From the publisher/dust jacket: "This all-new book. is published as part of the company's 125th Anniversary Commemoration. The Smith & Wesson Historian, Roy G. Jinks carefully details the evolution of the company and, step-by-step, describes the development of each of their firearms from 1852 through and including 1977. Facts, production information, and data on variations and modifications fo all post-1945 Smith & Wesson firearms. Information necessary to every S&W gun collector.". First Edition. Hardcover. Very Fine condition/Fair dust jacket. Illus. by NOT a library discard. 8vo. xiv, 290pp. Great Packaging, Fast Shipping.

Store description

About Books [Genny and Michael Winne, proprietors, formerly of Parsippany, New Jersey) has been selling rare and out of print books since 1985. Besides book fairs and mail order catalogue, long-time collectors and dealers will remember our lengthy For Sale ads in the Antiquarian Bookman and similar magazines. Our inventory of more than 40,000 volumes is especially strong in the specialities listed, but contains fine books in a variety of other fields as well. Because most of our books are stored in protective boxes, rather than on shelves, they cannot be viewed as a whole. If you want to examine specific titles, please provide 24 hours notice and we will make them available for your inspection. Phone calls to (702) 750-2722 are welcome, but please only between the hours of 8am and 10pm, west coast time. Our phone is a landline that cannot receive texts.
