Annotation in pencil at the rear, collating the plates. Folding frontispiece is torn with loss. 356pp with a folding frontispiece and 128 engraved plates. Provenance: leather bookplate for C. Lee at the front. Approximately 5 ½ inches tall. Condition Report Externally Spine good condition gilt titles and blind decoration, gently worn, 3 gilt raised bands. Joints good condition sound, rubbed. Corners good condition bumped and worn. Boards good condition cloth and leather covered boards, marks and scratches. Page edges good condition all edges marbled, darkened to the top. See above and photos. Internally Hinges good condition paper cracked, leather sound. Paste downs good condition marbled, bookplate to the front. End papers good condition marbled, lightly tanned and foxed thereafter. Title good condition tanned with foxing.
