This first edition historical account of the San Francisco earthquake and other natural disasters is illustrated with photographs of the disasters. The San Francisco section drew from eyewitness testimony and emergency workers' accounts, describing the 1906 earthquake that devastated nearly 80% of the city. This book was published in the same year the earthquake took place but features 464 pages of tales of disaster. Condition: Good, cover binding partially separated from pages due to age, slight yellowing/discoloration of pages and various stains on cover. **Our vintage books may have signs of wear or production imperfections. We mention creases, crazing, foxing or tears in our descriptions. The photos are part of the description, please examine carefully. Thanks for shopping.
