Item description from seller

Presumed first edition of this history of the Revolutionary Action Movement by its founder. 46 pp. Unbound in self-wraps, 12 single-fold letter-sized sheets printed recto and verso. Very Good+ with light reading wear. Minimal foxing and several small stains to front cover and first few pages. A scarce item with seven OCLC library listings. The civil rights activist Akbar Muhammad Ahmad (formerly known as Max Stanford) was the national chairman of the short-lived but influential Black Nationalist organization Revolutionary Action Movement. Ahmad was a close associate of Malcolm X, for whom RAM provided security after his separation from Nation of Islam. Its members were relentlessly harassed by the FBI and struggled to translate Marxist-Leninist theory into practice, and Ahmad dissolved the organization in 1968.
