With a program from the 1934 Centennial Celebration of the First Permanent Norwegian Settlement in the United States, issued by the Illinois Historical Society and the Norwegian-American Historical Association, from the Department of History of the University of Illinois. With three mounted photographs of famous American women laid in the rear of the volume (Molly Pitcher, Priscilla, of the poem, Courtship of Miles Standish, and Barbara Frietchie, the only person to fly a U.S. flag in Frederick, M.D., after it was overrun by Confederate troops).
