Scarce 1816 first edition in the original marbled paper-covered boards binding, which is good and secure, though there is some wear to the extremities and some loss of spine paper covering, revealing the underlying cloth. Old hand-written title label on spine. Altogether a presentable binding. The text is in good, tight condition, with light age-browning and foxing. 4 engraved plates (all present). Half-title present. No front and rear free blank papers, but these were probably never present in this form. 223 pages plus errata leaf and index. Collated. (GAS). Seller Inventory # BM7476
