The author was born in 1900 and raised in Wakita, OK leaving in 1918 to see the rest of the world until returning in 1965 and began to collect the history of Grant County for this book. The book contains information on the flora and fauna, the historical markers, and the Cherokee Outlet and Cherokee Strip days with the settlement of much of Oklahoma. The book continues with historical items, Oklahoma growth, significant events, important persons, business attraction and growth, and backgrounds of famous personalities and pioneers to the county.
