Over one hundred years ago, on 1 April 1915, the 7th Australian Infantry Brigade was formed and the Headquarters and the 25th and 26th Battalions were raised at Fraser's Paddock at Enoggera. Following a century of service, the primary task of the 7th Combat Brigade has not changed. The Brigade has contributed significantly to Australia's military history, with the involvement in every significant battle that Australians fought in from 1915 to 1918. The Brigade led the fight against the Japanese at Milne Bay in 1942 and contributed to the defeat of the Japanese in Bougainville from 1943 to 1945.
