The author's first book. Haliburton is the father of Canadian humor and the author of the clockmaker. This however is a serious history of Nova Scotia from 1497 to 1828. Haliburton's portrayal here of the expulsion of the Acadians became the inspiration for Longfellow's "Evangeline." Rarely are sets found in such fine condition.
