Jones was also the author of "Attempts in Verse by John Jones, an old Servant; with some account of the Writer written by himself, and an Introductory Essay on the Lives and Works of our uneducated Poets by Robert Southey." (1831). In the 1836 edition of Southey's work the "Attempts in Verse" forms the appendix. Original green cloth with the gilt title "Comic Keepsake" on upper cover. Some rubbing and discoloration of cloth, slightly shaken, some spotting of text, else a very good copy 11 plates and a tailpiece engraved by John Jackson after original designs by Kenny Meadows. 1 vols. 12mo.
