Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for a library stamp on the front pastedown and copyright page. Book Condition: Good+; checkout clip and pocket in front; tape residue on boards and endpapers; shelfwear to head, tail, and tips; small fabric wear-through at tips; index letter on spine. DJ: Good+; NOT Price Clipped ($2.50); suntoning to spine; light wear to head, tail, and tips; index number on spine. DJ has a leatherette gold foil finish and is housed in a still very serviceable 1960s Demco book jacket. Green cloth boards and spine with green shadowbox around title on the spine and front board. Stokes logo endpapers. Clean internals. Inner hinges are holding but have small breaks in the paper. 356 pp 12mo. This book is the historical fiction story of a young Minnesota Swede, rising from errand-boy to owner of an influential newspaper, and then to the legislature, unfolding against a background of the stirring political history of the period.
