First edition and first printing. In good dark navy cloth boards, gilt titles to spine. The boards are flat, quite tight and a little marked; spine ends and corners bumped and frayed. Slightly tanned free end papers; book plate on front paste down. The text block has many attractive black and white illustrations and a fold-out map to rearand in good plus condition. The pages are level and firm; the cut edges are age-toned and a few of the pages have marks. No dedications etc. Without jacket.

Our Bookshop is in Copse Road in Clevedon and is open every day, seven days a week, from 10.00am to 5.00pm. The Bookshop Co-operative comprises nearly 650 members from around the world and was set up to stop the only second-hand bookshop in our town from closing. The benefit of being a member/shareholder is only social: no-one benefits financially. All profits are used to improve the bookshop and its stock, and, through events, to contribute to the literacy and literary profile of our town. Shipping Terms

We pack our books in corrugated book wrap or book boxes. We try to respond to orders the same day as we receive them or during the next business day. Shipping costs are based on books weighing up to 1.1 lb, or 0.5KG. If your book order is particularly heavy or oversized, we may contact you to request an additional payment to cover extra postage costs.
