Contemp. vellum binding over boards w. blindst. fleuron and manuscript title on spine. Some scratches on cover, minor staining and foxing. In excellent condition. Michiel de Ruyter (1607-1676) was a Dutch admiral. Widely celebrated and regarded as one of the most skilled and beloved admirals in Dutch history, De Ruyter is most famous for his achievements with the Dutch Navy during the Anglo-Dutch Wars.
